Dawn Puchalski-Pierson is our guest instructor for this month’s Watermelon Dance and Wes Carrajet is our Guest DJ. Come on out and enjoy an evening filled with fun.
8:00-9:00 All level WCS lesson with Dawn! We’ll start at the middle and add as we go. Dawn’s got some fun up her sleeve.
9:00-12:30 Guest DJ Wes plays his best songs for our dancing.
$10 DVSC members; $15 non members; $5 full time undergrad collect students 24 and under with valid ID. Includes lesson, dancing and our Smorgasbord Snack table with pizza while it lasts. Pizza comes out around 9pm. If you’d like to bring something to share please contact Sheila at 609-519-0078 via text. To volunteer to help set up/break dwon for free admission contact Dan Roth.

Parking on Haddon Ave and the lot on Irwin is muni meters and cost 25 cents for 30 minutes. Meters must be paid til 9pm. AFTER 9pm it’s all free. Free parking on some streets and also a portion spaces under of the PATCO train right behind the Lodge.
From Center City or Lindenwold take the PATCO Hi Speed Line get off at the Collingswood station head towards town and walk about a block. Turn right and the Lodge is on your right.

There will be no Watermelon Dance at The Lodge for October 2015. We’ll be back November 21st to carry on the Watermelon Party! We hope you can join us then.

Hello all, just want to inform everyone of our new fee schedule for the monthly Watermelon Dances. Effective August 2015 our admission fees for our monthly dances will be as follows: (Subject to change when champions visit)
DVSC club members = $10
Non DVSC members = $15
College students 23 and under with valid ID = $5
18 and under accompanied by an adult = FREE
FIRST VISIT IS FREE.

Girls just want to have fun! Join us and the TWO Redheads in September for a super fun night to party at The Watermelon Dance. Jamie is here to share more fun WCS with us as she teaches our all level WCS lesson and stays and dances with us too and Nanette will be playing the music to keep us moving.
8:00-9:00 All level WCS with Jamie. We’ll start at the beginning and move into the intermediate level mid way through. We have something for everyone here. No partner needed. Newcomers welcome!!!
9:00 – 12:30 Nanette Sulik is our Guest DJ this month. We’re sure she’ll keep the floor moving all night.
Costt: $15 non members (NEW PRICE); $10 members. Students – full time undergrads 23 and under with valid ID – $5. FIRST VISIT IS free!!!
We are looking for 2 volunteers to help with set up and break down. This means you get there early to help with set up and you stay til the end to help clean up. Both volunteers will receive free admission for the dance. Contact Dan Roth to volunteer. We would also like to have one more person willing to rotate on door coverage. We work about 20 minutes at a time. Contact Sheila to volunteer to help out at the door! You can also leave a comment below and we will get in touch with YOU.
Club members: What can you do to help? Bring ice, soda, dessert, chips etc. Contact Sheila to volunteer to bring something and save your receipts as the club will reimburse – PLEASE CHECK IN WITH SHEILA PRIOR TO BRINGING SOMETHING so that we can be sure you get reimbursement, unless you just want to bring something to share.

Kay and Matt are back in town sharing their DC WCS with us. You know we always love it. Here’s the schedule. Save the date and plan to come for the fun. Philly + DC always equals lots of fun shenanigans! We’ll start the evening off with a 30 minute intro lesson with Dawn Puchalski Pierson getting our newcomers started. Then we move on to Kay and Matthew’s workshop geared to our intermediate and advanced dancers. Oh you are so gonna love this.
8:00-9:00 Drop, Duck and Roll – Kay and Matt are on Fire! It;s summer time and they’ve got the hottest moves! Drop, duck and roll, with playful styling for the followers, and all the bits and tips to help you really use these fun things on the social floor. Oh
9:00 – 12:30 DJ Kelli Kilgore visits from DC and shares her favorites with us.

It’s the THIRD Saturday and that means All Roads Lead to The Watermelon Dance! Brian Kidd will bring some DC coolness to us with his lesson and music for this month’s dance. Don’t miss it.

Parking – Haddon Ave and the lot on Irwin are now Muni Meters (very inexpensive 25 cents for half an hour. AFTER 9pm all parking is free. There is FREE parking on most side streets and a under the PATCO speed line.
Take the PATCO from Center City and get off at the Collingswood Station. Walk toward town for 1 block turn right and we will be on your right about a half block down.
Come early and stroll the ave. Lots of cool shops and eating establishments along the avenue.

Next up for our monthly Watermelon Dance is a Country 2 Step lesson with visiting teacher Alan Saperstein followed by some great dancing which always occurs at this one!

9:00-12:30 Watermelon Dance – our DJs play an awesome mix of music to keep the floor steaming all night long.
Cost: $10 Del Val Club members; $12 Non members; $6 full time undergrad students 23 and under with valid ID

We welcome Alan Lee, super cool local dancer, as our Guest Teacher this month. Alan will lead the all level WCS lesson starting at 8pm with about 30 minutes for the newcomers/beginners and followed up by about 30 minutes for the more experienced dancers. Come learn some of Alan’s cool stuff!
9:00-12:30 DJ Rob, house DJ, will be weaving his music magic for everyone to enjoy a fun night of dance. Requests taken.
COST: $10 DVSC members; $12 non members; First visit is FREE – includes our Smorgasbord snack table with pizza while it lasts (it’s out at about 9pm ish). Feel free to bring something to share at this one as our resident baker extraordinaire, Amy, will be away.
